MENTAL HEALTH

Everybody has mental health, in the same way that everyone has physical health, although some people may struggle with their's more than others. It's important to look after your mind, especially when you're dealing with stress and difficulties in life, as not doing things can make you feel much worse.

"Lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender people may be more susceptible to mental health problems than heterosexual people due to a range of factors, including discrimination and inequalities."

There are plenty of things you can do to keep on top of your mental health, here are some examples:

Social

Speak to a friend or family member in person, online, or over the phone

Self Care

Spend some time doing things you enjoy, like having a pamper night,  or watching a movie

Physical Health

Try going on a light walk in the park, going to the gym, having a swim or taking a yoga class

Professional

Speak to your doctor, teacher, counsellor, or another professional you trust
